Chocolate Sheath Cake
Combine 2 cups sugar and 2 cups flour, mix well.
Combine in a pan - 1 stick butter, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup Crisco and 4 TBSP cocoa. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour over sugar and flour and mix well. Add 1/2 cup butermilk and 2 beaten eggs, 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. vanilla - mix well
Pour into greased 11 x 14 inch pan - bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. About 5 minutes before cake comes out of oven mix:
1 stick of margarine
4 TBSP. cocoa
6 TBSP. milk
Melt over low flame and add 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 cup chopped pecans. Mix well and spread over cake while hot. |
