Tres Leches Cake
1 Yellow Cake Mix
5 eggs
1 Tall can Evaporated Milk
1 can Condensed Milk (sweetened)
1 1/2 cups Whipping cream (Buy the Quart Size)
Mix cake mix as directed on box except: with 5 eggs (omit oil and reduce water to 1 cup). Bake per directions on cake mix box in greased and flowered 9 x 13 pan. While baking, whisk together the evaporated milk, condensed milk and 1 1/2 cups of whipping cream. When cake comes out of the oeven, poke holes in hot cake and pour the cream mixture over the hot cake. Cover with foil and refrigerate.
Frosting: Beat together 1 cup of whipping cream, 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Cover the top of the cooled cake with frosting. Cover again and refrigerate.
You can serve this alone or with fresh strawberries sweetened with sugar to taste. |
