Easy recipe for a delicious, moist cake
Cake:
1 Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix
5 Eggs
1 Tall Can Evaporated Milk
1 Can Condensed Milk
1 ½ Cups Heavy (Whipping) Cream (Buy the Quart Size Carton)
Icing:
1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
Cake:
Mix yellow cake mix with 5 eggs, omitting oil, and reduce water to 1 cup. Bake per directions on cake mix box in greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. While baking, whisk together the evaporated milk, condensed milk and 1 ½ cups of heavy cream. When cake comes out of the oven, poke holes in hot cake and pour the “cream” mixture over the hot cake. Cover and refrigerate.
Frosting:
Beat together 1 cup of whipping cream, ¼ cup of sugar, and ½ tsp. of vanilla. Cover the top of the cooled cake with the frosting. Cover again and refrigerate.
You can serve this alone or with fresh strawberries sweetened with sugar to taste.
